Please read these terms carefully before using Sweldo. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

§ 01

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sweldo ("the Service"), operated by AltaSME / Nuvratech Systems ("we," "us," or "our"), you ("User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you must immediately stop using the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including free plan users, paid subscribers, and anyone accessing the Service in any capacity. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updates to these Terms.

§ 02

Service Description

Sweldo is a payroll computation and compliance reference tool designed for Philippine small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The Service provides:

  • Semi-monthly payroll computation with automatic SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR withholding tax estimates
  • Payslip generation for informational purposes
  • Government contribution and deadline reference guides
  • Employee record management tools
  • 13th month pay estimation
Important: Sweldo is a computation reference and productivity tool. It is not a licensed accounting firm, tax advisor, HR consultancy, or legal services provider.
§ 03

No Professional or Legal Advice

The Service does not constitute, and must not be relied upon as, professional accounting, tax, legal, HR, or financial advice. Nothing in the Service or its outputs should be construed as a substitute for advice from a licensed professional.

Government contribution rates, tax brackets, deadline schedules, and compliance rules change frequently. While we make reasonable efforts to keep our reference tables current, we make no representation that the information in the Service reflects the most current official government rules at any given time.

Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for verifying all payroll figures, tax amounts, and compliance filings with the relevant government agencies (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR) before making any payment, filing, or employment decision.
§ 04

Computation Disclaimer and Accuracy

4.1 Reference Purposes Only

All payroll computations, deduction estimates, tax figures, contribution amounts, net pay calculations, and related outputs produced by the Service are provided for reference and estimation purposes only. These outputs are not official government assessments, certified payroll records, or legally binding figures.

4.2 Known Limitations

The Service's computation engine operates under the following known limitations, which you expressly acknowledge:

  • The engine may not account for all special compensation types, overtime arrangements, holiday pay, night differential, COLA, hazard pay, or other allowances unless explicitly configured
  • SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG rate tables are sourced from government circulars and may not reflect the most current amendments or corrections at the time of use
  • BIR withholding tax brackets are applied as published and may not reflect special cases such as MWE (Minimum Wage Earners), gross income recipients, or taxpayers with special deductions
  • 13th month pay calculations are based on basic salary data entered into the system and may not reflect actual legal entitlements where salary arrangements differ
  • The Service does not handle SSS sickness, maternity, disability, or other benefit computations
  • Freelancer / independent contractor withholding tax is computed at a flat 8% rate and may not apply to all contractor arrangements

4.3 No Warranty of Accuracy

We do not warrant that the computations, outputs, or information provided by the Service are accurate, complete, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied.

Critical Notice: We expressly disclaim all liability arising from any error, inaccuracy, omission, or defect in the Service's computation outputs, whether arising from a software bug, incorrect rate table data, an unhandled edge case, or any other cause. Users who rely on the Service's outputs for official payroll filings, tax remittances, or government submissions do so entirely at their own risk.

4.4 Rate Table Updates

Government contribution rates (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and BIR withholding tax brackets change by law and regulation. We update our reference tables when changes are brought to our attention, but we provide no guarantee of real-time updates. Users are responsible for monitoring official government channels for rate changes.

§ 05

Limitation of Liability

5.1 Exclusion of Damages

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AltaSME / Nuvratech Systems, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for:

  • Any penalties, surcharges, interest, or fines imposed by SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR, DOLE, or any other government agency arising from incorrect, late, or incomplete filings, even if the figures were derived from the Service
  • Any underpayment or overpayment of employee wages, benefits, or statutory contributions
  • Any loss of business, revenue, profits, data, or goodwill
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Any damages arising from reliance on the Service's computation outputs, payslips, remittance guides, or deadline references
  • Any damages arising from service interruptions, downtime, data loss, or technical errors
  • Any employment disputes, labor cases, or regulatory proceedings related to payroll or compliance decisions made using the Service

5.2 Aggregate Liability Cap

In all cases where liability cannot be fully excluded under applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to us in the three (3) months immediately preceding the claim. Free plan users acknowledge that no monetary compensation is available as no fees were paid.

5.3 Essential Basis

You acknowledge that the limitations of liability set out in this section reflect a reasonable and fair allocation of risk between you and us, and are an essential basis of the bargain between the parties. The Service could not be provided at its current price point without these limitations.

§ 06

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AltaSME / Nuvratech Systems, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and successors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, penalties, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or in connection with:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service
  • Your reliance on any computation output, payslip, remittance figure, or reference information produced by the Service
  • Your failure to verify outputs with official government sources before filing or remitting
  • Any violation of these Terms of Use by you
  • Any violation of applicable Philippine law, including labor, tax, or social legislation, arising from payroll or HR decisions you made using the Service
  • Any third-party claims arising from payroll or compensation decisions made using the Service
§ 07

User Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at support if you suspect unauthorized access.

You represent and warrant that all information you provide to the Service — including business name, employer IDs, employee salaries, and other payroll data — is accurate and complete. We are not responsible for errors arising from inaccurate data you have entered.

Each account is for a single business entity. You may not share accounts across multiple businesses unless you are on a plan that explicitly permits this.

§ 08

Payments and Refunds

8.1 Payment Method

Paid plans are billed via GCash. Payments are processed manually and plans are activated within 30 minutes to 4 hours of verified payment during business hours. We reserve the right to reject any payment that cannot be verified.

8.2 No Automatic Renewal

Sweldo does not automatically charge or renew subscriptions. You must manually renew before your plan expires. Upon expiry, your account reverts to the Free plan. Your data is retained.

8.3 Refund Policy

You may request a refund within 7 days of plan activation if you are unsatisfied with the Service. To request a refund, contact us via Facebook or WhatsApp. Refunds are issued to the original GCash account. No refunds are issued after 7 days or for partial periods.

8.4 Pricing Changes

We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Existing paid subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price change takes effect.

§ 09

Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service, including employee records, payroll history, and business information. We do not sell your data to third parties.

You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We may use aggregated, anonymized data for product improvement and analytics.

§ 10

Prohibited Use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Deliberately enter false employee or salary data to generate fraudulent payroll records
  • Produce falsified government compliance documents
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security, access, or rate-limiting features
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying computation logic or database
  • Resell, sublicense, or offer the Service to third parties without our written consent
  • Use the Service for any purpose that violates Philippine law
§ 11

Service Availability and Changes

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or events beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time without liability. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.

§ 12

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we determine that continued provision of the Service poses a legal or reputational risk.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data may be retained for up to 90 days for legal and audit purposes, after which it will be deleted.

§ 13

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of the Service shall be resolved through good faith negotiation first. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the appropriate courts of Marikina City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against us.
